Parenting Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder Virtual Training

from $80.00

Are you a parent of a child with a Level 1 or Level 2 Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) diagnosis who is looking to better understand and support your child? Does your child experience intense emotional outbursts that leave you depleted—just as they’ve quickly recovered and are ready to reconnect? Do you find yourself feeling isolated from friends or family because your child’s needs feel different, or declining invitations altogether because the potential stress feels overwhelming?

If so, this training is for you.

Our children bring incredible light, depth, and joy into our lives—often through the unique lens in which they experience and engage with the world. Alongside that beauty comes a set of challenges that parents of neurotypical children may not fully understand. While you can deeply appreciate your child’s strengths and individuality, it is also common to carry fear, grief, and worry about the challenges and judgment you know may lie ahead.

For many Level 1 and Level 2 children, autism is often experienced as an “invisible disability.” To the untrained eye, they may appear “typical,” which can lead to harmful assumptions—being labeled as spoiled, demanding, non-compliant, or defiant. In reality, these behaviors are often rooted in rigidity, difficulty with transitions, a need for predictability, challenges tolerating the unknown, processing time to find words, and a strong sense of fairness and rule-following. When these needs go unseen or misunderstood, children are frequently misjudged—and parents are left carrying the emotional weight of constantly explaining, advocating, and protecting their child from being “othered.”

Supporting your child in navigating the world as their authentic self—without having to justify their needs at every turn—is exhausting. You are not alone.

If this resonates, this four-part training series is designed to support you. Together, we will explore:

Session One: Understanding Autism
Common presentations of autism, with a specific focus on the lived experiences and challenges of Level 1 and Level 2 individuals.

Session Two: Connection Over Correction
Mindful, relationship-centered approaches to teachable moments that prioritize safety, connection, and emotional regulation—especially for sensitive and internalizing children.

Session Three: Advocating for Your Child
Practical strategies to help ensure environments are inclusive and responsive to your child’s needs, while also honoring and amplifying their strengths so they can thrive.

Session Four: Finding Yourself and/or Partnership Amidst Autism
It’s beyond easy for the world to be suddenly centered around ASD day-in and day-out. This session is focused on carving out time and conversation for self and focus on partnership.
